Melbourne Water is collaborating with Glen Eira City Council, City of Port Phillip, the Environment Protection Authority Victoria, and other partners to develop a holistic, data-driven approach to preventing litter entering Port Phillip Bay through Elster Creek.
Inspections are required to ensure that our conditions are met, waterways are protected, public safety ensured, property is protected and works and building complies with standards.
Melbourne Water is building new infrastructure to meet growing demand for water Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs.
In Melbourne, a safe, clean and healthy environment is essential to our way of life. Through an extensive network of underground pipes and sewers we manage and treat our city's sewage, ensuring the health of our environment, our communities and our families. Without improvements and innovations, that enormous sewerage network would reach capacity and our waste would impact on the health of your environment. That's why at Melbourne Water we are upgrading sections of the North Yarra Main (NYM) Sewer between Heidelberg Park near Darebin Street through Jika Street to Yarra Flats Park through The Boulevard (1.8km). Ensuring we maintain our world class sewerage system today, tomorrow and for generations to come.
Melbourne Water is undertaking water main upgrade works in Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs. These upgrade works will ensure Melbourne Water can continue to supply our customers and the wider community with a safe and reliable water supply now and into the future.
