We're partially upgrading Beaconsfield Reservoir to protect downstream properties and communities. The reservoir was permanently disconnected from Melbourne's water supply network in 1988.

We’re taking a holistic approach to reducing flood risk in Elster Creek Catchment, collaboratively implementing the Elster Creek Catchment Flood Management Plan 2019-24 with the cities of Bayside, Glen Eira, Kingston and Port Phillip.

In partnership with Glen Eira City Council, we’ve commissioned several studies into options for mitigating flooding from the Koornang Main Drain, which services the suburbs of Ormond and McKinnon.

Melbourne Water and Yarra City Council are working together to consider options for how to reduce the impacts of flooding in and around Glass Street in Richmond.
