Water is essential to our way of life. That’s why we’re transforming part of the D1 Drain in Werribee into a natural waterway where native wildlife can thrive and communities can come together.
We’ve rectified the outlet structure of Thornhill Park retarding basin and wetland, to naturally balance water levels within the system as designed.
To support the development a P–12 independent school, as part of the Riverwalk Estate community infrastructure development, we will disassemble, relocate and reassemble Hangar 1 closer to Hangar 2 near the B-24 Liberator Museum and demolish the workshop at the Werribee Satellite Airfield site.
We’re carrying out minor maintenance and improvement works to the Pilot Park in Williams Landing until July 2026. This ensures the parkland continues to provide opportunities to exercise, relax, socialise and connect with nature today, tomorrow and for generations to come.
We’re embarking on a major program that will see over 60km of the Birrarung (Yarra River) receive a dedicated renewal over five years from 2022-2026 to help promote the health of our landmark waterway.
