We’re embarking on a major program that will see over 60km of the Birrarung (Yarra River) receive a dedicated renewal over five years from 2022-2026 to help promote the health of our landmark waterway.

We are working with the City of Yarra to repair rockwork along a section of the Yarra Main Trail near Dights Falls in Abbotsford affected by erosion. A section of the trail and river will be closed Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, from 3 February to mid March 2025 to ensure safety while our crews operate machinery and trucks on the path. Our repair works will ensure continued, safe use of the trail for pedestrians, cyclists, and for people of all abilities.
