Improving the Little Yarra River

We’re working to improve the health of the Little Yarra River in Yarra Junction, by undertaking weed control and revegetation along the streamside.

By understanding your flood risk and taking a few simple actions, you can be prepared for flooding.

If you’re planning to build over or near any of our easements or underground assets you’ll need to get our consent before starting any work.

If you plan to construct a crossing over our drain or waterway or to make any changes to an existing crossing, you must get our approval.

You must have our approval before you start work on any utility installations (such as gas, electricity and water) or excavations near our assets.

If you are planning to perform minor works on waterways you must get our consent.

If you are planning landscaping work we must approve proposed plantings over or near pipe reserves, easements and floodways.

To build a bicycle or pedestrian path on our land, near our assets or within a floodplain you will need our formal approval.
