From mid-March 2018, John Holland-KBR Joint Venture (JH-KBR JV) will deliver upgrade works to the Hessell Road Retarding Basin at Berwick, on behalf of Melbourne Water. The upgrade works will ensure the retarding basin continues to reduce the risk of flooding to the community.
Melbourne Water is committed to providing Melbournians with world-class water infrastructure. To deliver on this commitment, we will be constructing the Holden Reservoir pipeline, to supply residents and businesses in Melbourne’s developing outer west region with a reliable and safe water supply.
Melbourne Water will be upgrading the Air Treatment Facility at the Hoppers Crossing Pump Station to extend the life of the sewer and cater for the growing population in the area.
We will carry out waterway improvement works including woody weed removal and revegetation along a 1.3km reach of Merri Creek from Queens Parade in Fawkner to Bakers Road in Coburg North.
As part of the ongoing Sewer Relining Program, Melbourne Water will upgrade and rehabilitate five existing sewer pipelines that run from the Kew Pumping Station and under the Eastern Freeway in Kew East.
Melbourne Water have delivered upgrade works to the Kilsyth Main Drain Retarding Basin, located within the Dorset Recreational Reserve at Croydon. The upgrade works ensure the retarding basin continues to reduce the risk of flooding to the community.
From late October 2019 we are upgrading the Lillydale Lake Wetland so it can continue filtering out stormwater pollutants, and help keep our rivers ad creeks healthy.
Upgrade works to the Long Island Retarding Basin are set to begin. The upgrade works are required to ensure the retarding basin continues to reduce the risk of flooding to the community.
