Melbourne Water will be upgrading the Air Treatment Facility at the Hoppers Crossing Pump Station to extend the life of the sewer and cater for the growing population in the area.
The Maribyrnong River Main (MRM) carries sewage from six major City West Water catchment areas to the Western Treatment Plant. To protect the integrity of the pipe and reduce the risk of the sewer failing in the future, Melbourne Water needs to reline this sewer main.
