Event details

Join our Waterwatch team, Parks Victoria’s Rangers and some special expert guests to investigate some of the small animals that call the Morang Wetlands home.

First, we’ll take a closer look at the mini beasts living in the wetlands with Ranger Sharyn, and help identify and record what we find. Get hands on with nets and microscopes to turn your science in to action.

Next, join a guided walk to learn about the wetland environment and our elusive frog species, including how they indicate how healthy our wetlands are.

Then, get your listening ears on and your smartphone ready to record, as we take live recordings of the frogs calling. Your data will contribute to the Frog Census program which provides vital research on our important frog species.

You’ll have fun, learn new things and contribute to conservation – win-win-win!
