Reimagining the Werribee D1 Drain
Water is essential to our way of life. That’s why we’re transforming part of the D1 Drain in Werribee into a natural waterway where native wildlife can thrive and communities can come together.

We're reimagining a number of creeks across Melbourne, transforming them into desirable open spaces where people can interact with nature in cooler, healthier environments.
In partnership with Manningham Council, we are rehabilitating a section of Birrarung (Yarra River) in Warrandyte to repair riverbank erosion and protect native habitat, including for platypus.
We’re embarking on a major program that will see over 60km of the Birrarung (Yarra River) receive a dedicated renewal over five years from 2022-2026 to help promote the health of our landmark waterway.
