Ben Pratt: We're here celebrating 50 years of operation at the Eastern Treatment Plant. It's a pretty special site, that serves over 1.5 million Melburnians every single day.

Sue Jackman: For us it's being able to recognise the changes that we've gone through here at ETP, to be able to process 400 million litres of sewage every single day and also produce the Class-A recycled water.

Sue: So we really are a circular economy all inside the fences here of ETP. And we always say if people are not sure what we're doing here, that's a great thing because it means we're doing it right.

Stephen Cahill: I started here in 1986. I came here thinking this was going to be a short term role, and here I am nearly 39 years later, doing what I love.

Stephen: The future's going to be very exciting. It's already about twice the size it was when I started here, and it's only going to get bigger. That's dealing with the effects of climate change, population growth, so we have to keep ahead of the game.

Sue: The next 50 years is going to be even more exciting as we look down some major infrastructure renewals, all about keeping pace with the growth of Greater Melbourne and making sure also that we're playing our part for sustainability and for the environment.
