Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator

The Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator (SAF) supports farmers in the Port Phillip and Westernport region to adopt climate-smart, sustainable agricultural practices.

Funded through the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program, the SAF is a trusted partner providing critical advice and extension services to improve farmers’:

  • knowledge and uptake of climate smart practices
  • understanding of carbon and biodiversity markets to inform critical investment decisions for future sustainability.

The SAF works with a range of partners, including:

  • farmers
  • agricultural industry bodies 
  • research organisations
  • Landcare networks and groups with an agriculture focus
  • state and local government.
