Our Price Submission sets out our proposed services in water, sewerage, waterways and drainage over a five-year period, as well as the cost of delivering these and the prices we intend to charge customers.
It is subject to approval by the Essential Services Commission, Victoria’s independent regulator, as part of their periodic water price review process. It’s important to note that the prices for our wholesale water and sewerage services are different to the prices you’ll see on household water bills. Those prices are set by Melbourne’s retail water companies, taking into account the wholesale cost of our services as well as their own planned works and investments.

Following extensive engagement with our customers and community, we’re now finalising our 2021–26 Price Submission in preparation for lodging it with the Essential Services Commission in October 2020. To view the latest updates visit our Price Submission engagement hub.

The new prices took effect on 1 July 2016 and are updated annually.
