We worked to improve the health of Ferny Creek and the adjacent vegetation which provides habitat to the local wildlife and will preserve the biodiversity of the area.

What happened

We removed key weed species, including Boneseed, Sweet Pittosporum, Blackberry and Montpelier Broom and revegetate with locally sourced indigenous plants.

We worked with the Sherbrooke Archery Club, which uses and manages much of this land, the Yarra Ranges Council and the Friends of Glenfern Valley Bushlands to plan the works.

The area forms part of an isolated remnant of native vegetation, connected to the Glenfern Valley Bushlands and bounded by residential subdivision and pasture.
