Melbourne Water launches new 'customer first' website

Visitors to Melbourne Water’s website may have noticed some changes in recent months, with the launch of an all new customer focussed website.

Following an extensive program of customer and employee engagement and research, Melbourne Water launched its new customer focused website in late 2017.

Redesigned and redeveloped to provide a more user friendly platform for customers to interact with Melbourne Water, the launch of the new website is the first step in transforming the customer digital experience.

Further to the obvious changes to the look and feel of the website, more improvements will continue to be made over time to ensure the platform is fit for purpose and continues to provide customers with a great experience.

Gavan O’Neill, General Manager Customer and Strategy, Melbourne Water said the arrival of the new website would ensure customers could easily engage with Melbourne Water anytime, anywhere and on any device.

“The main aim of this website redesign was to create an interactive platform for our customers that is easily navigable - across multiple devices – while being intuitive and improving on the overall user experience,” he said.

“We have invested in a custom API which connects into our systems to combine data with content on the website, enabling the development of new digital services.”

“All of the changes and updates implemented across the website have been inspired by the extensive customer and employee feedback we have received over much of 2017.”
