Have your say on future of Stony Creek at Sunshine Hospital
Local community members are encouraged to share their ideas and aspirations for the future of Stony Creek at Sunshine Hospital with the launch of a ‘Your Say’ online portal.
The feedback provided will influence the redesign a one kilometre section of the creek, from Furlong Road to Laurel Street, St Albans, which Melbourne Water intends to return to a more natural form with open space adjacent to the hospital.
From planting trees and improving public spaces to preventing litter and restoring natural habitats, Melbourne Water hopes the portal will allow the local community to share their feedback on what matters most to them.
Melbourne Water Project Manager Fin Adamson said the process will help identify the key priorities for the transformation of the creek.
“We’re absolutely committed to enhancing Stony Creek and its surrounds and we’re looking forward to working together with the community, and our partner agencies, to achieve this,” Mr Adamson said.
“St Albans residents will be able to share their feedback online and also in-person at several community pop-up events, which will happen March.”
The ‘Your Say’ portal marks the first stage of the community engagement process and will remain open until April 1.
