Water quality warning for Boags Rocks and vicinity
Following a series of significant wet weather events, discharge from the Melbourne Water Eastern Treatment Plant is currently at a reduced quality level.
This means that the water quality at the Boags Rocks (Gunamatta Beach) outfall and surrounds may not be suitable for swimming, fishing or pets until further notice.
Signs have been put in place alerting beachgoers and Melbourne Water staff will continue to monitor the area.
The EPA have been notified and are being kept informed.
