Innovation leads the way in Water Sensitive City Strategy

Melbourne Water has welcomed the release of the Fishermans Bend Water Sensitive City Strategy.

The strategy, launched by the Victorian Government, is a key part of the Fishermans Bend development and will help establish the precinct as a leading climate resilient ‘green star’ community.

It is the largest water sensitive urban design project in Australia, incorporating innovative systems and world’s best practice in managing water to reduce pollution and boost biodiversity and sustainability.

Melbourne Water worked in collaboration with the Fishermans Bend Taskforce, Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, South East Water, City of Melbourne, City of Port Phillip, Water Sensitive Cities Australia, and the Office of the Victorian Government Architect in the development of the strategy.
