Did you know that the platypus is one of only two mammals in the world that lay eggs? This, along with many other specialised adaptations, make the the platypus a fascinating creature.
Hosted by Melbourne Water and the Werribee River Association, join a platypus expert for a walk and talk along Werribee River where you can:
- learn about our local platypus population
- find out how to spot a platypus
- get hands-on with some waterbug sampling to see what they eat
We'll also discuss how litter affects our waterways and what we can all do to help!
