Over the next five years will be working to improve a 400m section of Dandenong Creek between Edgar Track in the Dandenong Ranges National Park and the Doongalla Pony Club clearing.

Site closure

Wednesday 17 February to Friday 20 February (inclusive). The range will be open on the weekend.

What's happening and when

The project involves controlling weeds such as Karamu, Sweet Pittosporum, Blackberry and Ivy and planting locally sourced indigenous plants.

We have worked closely with the Shire of Yarra Ranges and Lilydale Bowmen Club to plan these works on a site that is significant for both indigenous flora and fauna.

The more intensive works will run for two years until October 2015, with a maintenance period running until October 2018 to ensure the new vegetation gets the best opportunity to establish.

Impacts on Lilydale Bowmen Club

The range will be closed at various times over the next five years when we are working onsite. We will only close the range for a few days at a time.

Advanced notification will be sent out and signage will be placed all across the range and on the targets.
