Sewage Treatment
Sewage is much more than what gets flushed down the toilet. It also includes everything that goes down the kitchen, laundry and bathroom sinks as well as trade waste from industry.
Melbourne produces approximately 330,000 million litres of sewage a year and Melbourne Water is responsible for treating this to high environmental standards.
