Visit and Learn
Walking tours are a great way for school and community groups to learn what happens at the Eastern Treatment Plant.
These tours take around two hours and can be arranged at the following times:
- Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays
- 10am-12pm or 12.30pm-2.30pm
Eastern Treatment Plant tours are not suitable for primary school students.
We do not offer tours of the Eastern Treatment Plant to the general public. Tours must be pre-booked.
Cost
Costs vary depending on group and tour type. Prices are quoted per person and are GST inclusive.

Can’t visit the plant in person?
Our interactive, online Eastern Treatment Plant explorer program takes users on a virtual journey around the plant, allowing them to easily follow the sewage treatment process and learn about recycled water. There is also an interactive explorer tool for the Western Treatment Plant.
