This creek is almost entirely urban and has been heavily modified by realignment works. It contains major parklands in some of its reaches, which have a strong appeal to the community.
Improvement works: Major works have been undertaken in recent years to control erosion and protect the banks, the creek and nearby buildings from increased and sometimes torrential flows. These works have been done alongside willow removal and weed control, followed by replanting with native plants. Further improvement works will be carried out in Doncaster East to stabilize the creek, improve habitat and replant trees and shrubs.
