Conditions for Approval
Please note that further conditions will be applicable upon formal approval by Melbourne Water.
1) A Buildover Agreement may be required
A buildover agreement may be required to be entered into between the owner and Melbourne Water. Further details will be provided upon assessment of the proposal by Melbourne Water.
2) All required preliminary plans must be submitted to Melbourne Water
Melbourne Water requires plans showing the following details to be submitted with this application form (additional information may be necessary):
- Proposed and existing structures, showing the offset/location from easement and Melbourne Water’s Main Drain.
- Details of landscaping, including location and types of plants.
- Any proposed service crossing of the main drain and the stormwater drainage system.
- Footing details.
- Detailed plans of the development including any driveways, fencing etc.
- Any standard drawing accompanying this application form.
3) Additional approvals may be required
Separate approval may need to be attained from:
- other Authorities,
- Private Owners that may be affected by the works necessary.
Once all details are finalised, all documentation is to be submitted to Melbourne Water for approval.
4) Approval is not guaranteed
Submission does not guarantee approval by Melbourne Water.
Please allow 28 day turnaround for process.
5) Further conditions may be required
However, if approved, further detailed conditions will be applicable.
