Tender update: Maintenance and low-risk capital works
Melbourne Water’s service delivery strategy for maintenance and low-risk capital works has been finalised following industry consultation and regulatory approval.
With the strategy complete, we are able to provide information to the market on our planned procurement approach and tender process.
In summary, our future maintenance and low-risk capital strategy will deliver works through three separate bundles. Two of these bundles will be offered to the market as part of a forthcoming tender process. These two bundles are:
- Tender 1: All mechanical and electrical and civil maintenance and low-risk capital activities relating to sewage transfer & treatment and all mechanical and electrical maintenance and low risk capital activities relating to Water Supply & Drainage.
- Tender 2 – All maintenance and low risk capital activities relating to Waterways (natural assets) and civil Drainage.
The third bundle, civil maintenance for all of water supply and low-risk capital works in the water catchments will continue to be delivered by Melbourne Water.
