WATER STORAGES AT 40.4%

After rising to a year high of 40.5% during the week, Melbourne's water storages have ended the week at 40.4% (715,796 million litres) full today - the same percentage level they were at last Thursday.

While no rain was recorded at Maroondah Reservoir this week, the other three major catchments recorded weekly totals between 1.4mm (Upper Yarra) and 16.0mm (Thomson).

Water storage levels are now around 39 billion litres lower than at the same time last year when they were 42.6% (755,395 million litres) full, however average daily consumption rates are still below both the same time last year and the spring daily average.

With some warm days ahead, Melburnians are reminded that Stage 3a water restrictions are in place until June 30 next year.
