STORAGES CONTINUE TO DROP
Melbourne's water storages have dropped a further 0.6% (10,686 million litres) this week to 33.0% (584,435 million litres) full today. Storages are at a level 19.5% lower than at the same time last year when they were 52.5% (930,517 million litres) full.
There was no rainfall in our catchments this week.
Melburnians continue to do a great job saving water with average daily consumption lower than the autumn average, and well below the consumption at the same time last year.
Stage 3 water restrictions are now in place and include a ban on the watering of lawns and hoses cannot be used to wash cars.
