MELBOURNE WATER ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBER

Peter Vines has joined the Board of Directors of Melbourne Water, following appointment by the Minister for Water John Thwaites.
Mr Vines brings significant experience in executive and senior management positions within the energy and infrastructure sector to the role, as well as previous board experience. Mr Vines recently retired as Executive General Manager of Origin Energy Ltd.
Melbourne Water Board Chairman Cheryl Batagol said that Mr Vines background, skills and knowledge would be of great value to the Board and would compliment the skills and experience of the existing Board members.
"We look forward to welcoming Peter to the Board table in working to deliver a sustainable water future for the Melbourne community," Ms Batagol said.
Mr Vines joins existing Board members Dr Carolyn Shultz, Terry Larkins, Mary Anne Hartley, Prof. Peter Darvall, Melbourne Water Managing Director Rob Skinner, Deputy Chair Merran Kelsall and Chairman Cheryl Batagol.
The announcement of Mr Vines appointment coincided with the reappointment of Ms Schultz and Ms Kelsall, who was also appointed Deputy Chair.
