LOW RAIN IN THE CATCHMENTS CONTINUES

Melbourne's water storages have dropped by 0.4% since last week. Today, water storages are at 53.7% (951,698 million litres) full.
This is a decrease of 7796 million litres since last week.
For the same time last year (19 May 2004), Melbourne's water storages were 47.9% (848,912 million litres) full.
Meanwhile, the dry conditions continue. Melbourne's four major water supply catchments - Maroondah, O'Shannassy, Upper Yarra and Thomson - have received between 6mm and 18mm of rain so far in May.
The long term average for the month is 76mm-109mm.
