Amendment C14 to Moorabool Planning Scheme Prepared

The C14 amendment proposes to introduce planning controls (Land Subject to Inundation Overlay and Floodway Overlay) into the Moorabool Planning Scheme.

These controls apply to land affected when a severe storms exceeds the capacity of underground drains, waterways and open drainage systems. Planning permits are required for any buildings and works within overlay areas.

The amendment affects approximately 800 properties throughout the Moorabool region.

Moorabool Shire Council has prepared Amendment C14 to the Moorabool Planning Scheme with the assistance of Melbourne Water.

Amendment on exhibition

Members of the community can inspect the amendment, including supporting documentation during office hours and free of charge at the following locations:

During the Amendment exhibition period, we are holding one-on-one information sessions, which will be held in both Ballan and Bacchus Marsh.
