Sugarloaf Pipeline Project - Project Team

Join the project team

Offers to work on the Sugarloaf Pipeline project are still being accepted from contractors and individuals looking to be matched with the wide range of jobs and services needed to deliver the proect.

Businesses and others wanting to offer labour, goods, services or equipment to the project should register their interest or availability by visiting the project's employment website.

It is our preference to utilise as many local sources of labour, services and supplies as possible. We have been working with Regional Development Victoria's Industry Capability Network in an effort to maximise local business opportunities.

Why use an alliance approach?

The pipeline is being planned, designed and constructed using a team or alliance approach.

This form of contracting arrangement is generally considered suitable for projects that are more complex and require faster delivery times.

The alliance approach means that all parties (i.e. designer, constructor and owner) are bound by a single contracting arrangement or agreement.

Typically, a 'project alliance leadership team' is established consisting of representatives from all parties. Once the agreement is in place delivery obligations are shared between the partners and all decisions are taken on a best for project basis.

The alliance arrangement gives each party an incentive to produce the best outcomes at every stage of the process.
