David Mcfarlan Reserve Flood Protection Works Underway
Melbourne Water is constructing a new pump station and rising main in Sorrento's David McFarlan Reserve to protect the nearby community facilities from flooding.
The construction of the pump station is temporarily on hold to enable Melbourne Water to follow procedures set out in the new Cultural Heritage Legislation following the identification of cultural heritage material on site. Work on the pipeline has begun.
Every effort will be made to ensure that impact on local residents and businesses is kept to a minimum. Community members can call free on 1800 085 432 with any questions regarding the project.
