Riviera Outlet Reconstruction

Reconstruction of the Riviera Outlet on Seaford Beach was completed in October 2010.

The stormwater outlet was originally constructed in 1960 and allows excess water to be released directly into the Bay to help reduce the risk of flooding downstream. It needed to be replaced after reaching the end of its useful life.

Reconstruction of the outlet was carried out by the Pipelines Alliance on behalf of Melbourne Water and took around 9 months to complete.
