During 2007/08, Melbourne Water engaged 17 consultants at less than $100,000 each to undertake operational and capital works projects at a total cost of $542,000 (excluding GST). In addition, Melbourne Water engaged six consultants at more than $100,000 to undertake the following projects (expenditure excludes GST):
